  • Planet Bike BRT-7 Rear Blinky

    Reviewed By: B. Senez
Description: Planet Bike BRT-7 rear blinky
The BRT7 offers two settings, a flashing mode and steady on.
Seven LED's and a claimed visibility of up to one mile
    Weight: 69g w/ 27.2mm shim

    $14.99

    Length of Ownership: Two Years
    Similar Items Owned: Cateye TL-LD500

    Blackburn Mars 2.0

    Highlights: Bright
    Simple design
Need Improvement: The light itself is great but the mounting interface between the light and the clamp could be refined a bit as it is a bit chunky.
This is a difficult light to attach to a rear rack while the Cateye and Blackburn lights will both mount to a rack much easier.
Overall Impressions: This is a great rear light which has become my personal favorite.
It is significantly brighter than the offerings from Cateye or Blackburn.
The batteries last for a long time (100 hours claimed), and are a standard AAA size.
When riding at night or in poor weather I rely on this light to be seen.
By switching to slightly more expensive lithium ion batteries and a titanium bolt the weight can be easily reduced to 61g.

Michelin Pro3 Race 700x23c road tires

    Reviewed By: M. Naputi
Description: Michelin Pro3 Race 700x23c road tire
    Weight: 202-206g

    $49.99 each

    Length of Ownership: 400 miles
Similar Items Owned: Michelin Pro2 Race 700x23c road tires

Michelin Pro2 Light 700x23c road tires

    Highlights: Low rolling resistance
    Lightweight
Need Improvement: Can accumulate a fair amount of small cuts in tire
Is not available in a black-only color
Overall Impressions: Now that the Michelin Pro3 Race tires have gone through their break-in period (which is around 80 miles) and a few miles more, they are living up to the expectations that I had for them.
The first thing that I noticed the Pro3 does slightly better than the Pro2 is roll... and roll and roll.
The Pro3's are approximately 20g lighter than the Pro2's as well which is accomplished by making a tire with a lower volume.
Resistance to punctures seems on par with the Pro2 tires which are excellent.
The overall feel of the tire is great. I would reccomend these to anyone looking for a high-performance tire at a reasonable price that can be used for everyday riding or raceday.

    Cateye Strada Wireless computer (white)

    Reviewed By: S. James
Description: Cateye Strada Wireless computer (white)

    $59.99 each

    Length of Ownership: 4 months
Similar Items Owned: Garmin Edge 205
Highlights: Small, light, very easy to use and toggle between fields
Need Improvement: Not Much. It is the best performing basic wireless computer I have owned.
If you have poor eyesight you may want a larger display.
Overall Impressions: Overall, this computer works extremely well.
As for some other wireless computers that drop their signals easily, this one has never faltered since it was installed a little over 4 months ago.
We stock this computer in both black and white colors and recommend it to customers seeking a good quality standard wireless cycling computer.
